Announcing the Winners! 2015 Gift of Mobility Giveaway
In December, 2015, Mobility Equipment Recyclers is once again giving the Gift of Mobility to 3 individuals in need this holiday season.
The season of giving is upon us, and we can think of no better time than Christmas to give the Gift of Mobility.
We looked for nominees to present a gift of high-quality refurbished medical equipment for the 2015 Holiday Season. The nomination period is over, and 3 recipients will receive a visit from the Mobility Equipment Recycling elves!
This year’s winners are:
- Hector Aponte of Woonsocket, RI. Hector is a Korean War veteran no longer able to get around town like he used to. Mr. Aponte will receive a refurbished mobility scooter to aid him in accomplishing his day-to-day tasks.
- Chris Teves of Fairhaven, MA. Chris is currently stuck in a wheelchair that insurance paid for, but does not fit him properly. Chris lives with MS and will be provided with a wheelchair tailored to his body type.
- Roberta Elliott of Warwick, RI. Ms. Elliott is diagnosed with COPD and recently underwent neck surgery. While in the hospital, she found the reclining bed greatly eased her breathing. Ms. Elliott will now have a hospital bed of her own to be able to rest without pain.
NOTE: This giveaway was successful, but is no longer active! Check back with our company for future giveaways!

Mobility Equipment Recyclers of New England was founded in 2014 by North Kingstown native John Perrotti with the mission of providing high-quality power chairs and medical equipment at just a fraction of the cost.
This mission was born from the belief that living comfortably is something that no single person should do without. As an organization, nothing gives the team greater satisfaction than fixing the un-fixable and offering both the equipment and its recipients a second life.
Every piece of medical equipment that arrives in the showroom gets a new lease on life: Power Chair Recyclers of New England are experts at salvaging medical equipment and providing it to those in need.
All components are reused and diverted from landfills. The company’s goals are to simultaneously reduce and divert landfill waste while placing medical equipment in the hands of those who need it most.
Refurbished chairs and medical equipment is available for sale and rental at the showroom located at 7446 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI. Individual parts are also available for purchase and can be shipped anywhere in the country.
For more information about medical equipment and services that are provided, contact Mobility Equipment Recyclers of New England by calling 401-294-4111 or visiting the showroom at 6802 Post Rd., North Kingstown, RI 02852.
