In addition to headlights that help you see the path ahead of you, many lighting kits may include taillights, hazard lights, and/or under-seat lighting to help you be seen by others.

Lighting kits are a recommended feature for people who will be using their wheelchair on roadways or will be maneuvering in dark environments.

People who have limited strength or movement may have difficulty maintaining a safe or comfortable position in their wheelchair. We can attach various positioning aides to help provide more support and stability while sitting in the wheelchair.

There are many different positioning supports available, including:

• Lateral supports to keep you sitting upright rather than leaning to one side
• Thigh supports to keep your leg fully on the seat cushion
• Knee supports to keep your knees and legs in line with your hips
• Knee abduction supports to keep your knees from knocking into each other
• Elbow supports the keep your elbows from sliding sideways or backwards off of the armrests

Many of these supports are also available with swing-away options so that the support can be moved out of the way temporarily for easier transferring, dressing, etc.

Most of our wheelchairs already come with seatbelts, but we can always switch to a different model or install one in the rare event that it is not already included.

Seatbelts come in different lengths and may have optional padding or different types of release button. We can also add chest belts, foot straps, and other types of harness to help you stay secure in the chair during use.
