Rather than completely lifting the patient off the floor, the Sabina II EE is designed to encourage and support the patient's participation during a standing transfer, making it a practical solution for appropriate patients who retain some weight-bearing ability.
The Sabina II EE is specifically designed for situations where a patient needs assistance transitioning from sitting to standing. The lift can be positioned in front of a patient seated on a bed, chair, or other appropriate surface, allowing the patient to participate in the transfer while the lift provides controlled support.
The Sabina II EE provides a 440 lb safe working load for active lifting, giving caregivers substantial capacity when assisting appropriate patients with standing transfers. For passive lifting applications, the published safe working load is 330 lbs. The power adjustable base easily provides the opening necessary for all sizes of mobility devices.
