Built around a lightweight aluminum frame, the Hoyer Advance combines a compact footprint with an impressive range of lifting capabilities. It is designed to assist with transfers to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, commodes, and even from the floor when used with the appropriate sling and transfer procedures. Joerns specifically designed the Advance to provide excellent maneuverability in areas where larger patient lifts can be difficult to position.
When space is limited, the Hoyer Advance really stands out. Its no-tools folding design allows the lift to be folded into a compact configuration for storage or transportation. The triangular folding design allows the unit to stand unassisted when stored, and the folded lift can also be transported between locations.
The Hoyer Advance is rated for a 340 lb. (155 kg) safe working load, providing substantial capacity while maintaining a relatively lightweight and portable design. The Advance 340 can accommodate transfers from lower positions, including floor-level situations, through to elevated positions such as transfers onto a healthcare bed when properly configured and used with an appropriate sling.
