In honor of the Veterans that have served our country, The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce hosted their 28th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 6, at Quidnessett Country Club.
At the event, we donated a power chair received by Col. Retired Lynn Lavallee, The Assistant Administrator for the Rhode Island Veterans. On behalf of a veteran that is receiving treatment in their home. Mobility Equipment Recyclers wants to give a special thanks to The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce along with VFW Post 152. Particularly, for allowing us to give back to our veterans.
Attendees of the golf tournament that we want to specially recognize include:
Kristin Urbach the executive director of the NK Chamber of Commerce. Kristin is instrumental and at times solely responsible for organizing and carrying out events for the Chamber of Commerce and community. Her efforts are very much appreciated.
Rick Laviolette, Golf Committee Chair and Vice Chair of the NK Chamber board of Directors.
“We are delighted to partner with the VFW Post 152 for our golf tournament. USA Retired David Ainslie, who is the Commander of the VFW Post 152, has been instrumental in increasing our awareness as to the needs of the local Veterans. We thank John Perrotti, owner of Mobility Equipment Recyclers, for recognizing and fulfilling one of those needs and to David Ainslie for identifying a veteran to be the recipient of the power chair.”
Kasim Yarn, the first Director of Veterans Affairs for the State of Rhode Island and a North Kingstown resident.
