Contest Winners Receive Free Mobility Equipment At Christmastime

Each year around Christmastime, Mobility Equipment Recyclers of New England -- the North Kingstown, Rhode Island-based medical equipment supplier -- gives back to those in need in their annual 'Gift Of Mobility' giveaway. Contest participants are asked to nominate either themselves or somebody they know that is in desperate need of mobility devices, like power wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and more, and once the entries are gathered and the nomination period closes, winners are picked out of a hat. In 2016 three winners were chosen at random, and on December 20th owner John Perrotti and general manager Andrew Celani delivered the presents with their diesel-powered sleigh. Ho-ho-ho! "I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for my new chair," said Paula Taylor, the recipient of a recently-refurbished Pride Jazzy Select power wheelchair.
